Son of Claude Albert Virieux and Sarah Ann Virieux nee Goodson of Flinders Island, Tasmania.

Commenced return to Australia on 5 November 1917 aboard HT Themistocles disembarking on 31 December 1917 at Melbourne for onward travel to Hobart.
