At the time of enlistment Richard was residing at Sturt Street, Townsville, QLD.
Son of James O'Neill and Anne Jane O'Neill of Lawson Street, Balmain, NSW.
Previousy served with the Australian Imperial Bushmen for six months.
Commenced return to Australia on 3 March 1919 aboard HT Kashmir disembarking on 23 April 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney.
