Reginald Norman Scrymgour was born in South Australia in 1892. Reginald Norman supported the religion of Methodism and his employment was a clerk. He lived at Mile End South Australia and was single. His next of kin which was his mother lived nearby on Henley beach road in Mile End. His regimental number was 6630 and his date of enlistment was October 2nd, 1916. Reginald was on board HMAT A28 Miltiades from Adelaide South Australia on 24 January 1917. He had brown hair, blue eyes, 5'6 in height, and 32-35 inches in chest length and weighed 49kg. His name for his unit was 27th Battalion, 19th reinforcement. Reginald's AWM roll number for the embarkation was 23/44/5. His rank from the nominal roll was corporate and his unit from nominal roll 6th field artillery brigade.
