273 Corporal Charles Jury 29th Battalion AIF was three times wounded in action, the first being at Fromelles in 1916 and the last at Polygon Wood in Belgium during 1917. He was returned to Australia in early 1919.
His younger brothers, 625 Tpr. Henry William Jury 4th Light Horse Regiment was killed in action at Gallipoli 28 November 1915, aged 23 and 624 Tpr. Alfred James Jury 22nd Anzac Light Horse, died of wounds in Belgium 22 April 1918, also aged 23.
