Add my storyBiography contributed by David Storey
The body of George was not found originally and his memorial was placed on the Memen Gate memorial. In 2008 his body was found by road workers and his remains were reinterred in the Buttes New British Cemetery, Polygon Wood. The reinterment ceremony was well done and three of his family were present. The Belgian and Australian Government are deserving congratulations for the way they handled the occasion. Particular thanks are due to the Belgian volunteers who did all the recovery work of the five Australians found at the same place.
