Leslie GRATTIDGE was born in Fitzroy North, Victoria in 1898
His parents were Richard GRATTIDGE & Mary BROADBENT
He enlisted on 8th January, 1916 and embarked with the 24th Infantry Battalion, 11th Reinforcements on the ship Malva from Melbourne
Leslie was Killed in Action at Transloy in France - no known grave
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Villers Bretonneux Memorial

His brother Stanley GRATTIDGE (SN 3061) also served during WW1 and returned to Australia in 1919 - he was awarded the Military Medal
Anoher brother Edward George GRATTIDGE (SN 2152) served during WW1 and returned to Australia in 1918
He also served during WW2 (SN V16482) & (SN V91235)
