Biography contributed by Brian Boyce

Thomas 'Nestor' SHEEHY was the second son of Patrick SHEEHY (1847-1903) and Margaret Mary NESTOR (1851-1931) of Duncaha (also Dooncaha), County Limerick, Ireland.

He was baptised on January 23, 1880.Baptism

The sponsors at his baptism were Margaret's older brother, Michael NESTOR (1843-1918) and Patrick's older sister Catherine 'Kit' (Sheehy) SHINE (1840-1902).

Interestingly Tom's birth wasn't registered with the Civil Authorities until more than a year later on February 24 1881. Aunty Kit was the informant and the date of birth given as February 3, 1881.
