Biography

George Rawdon Ffrench NOBBS was born in 1895 in Hay, NSW

His parents were (Reverend) George Rawdon Ffrench NOBBS and Emily Harriet CAPRON

George  served for 6 weeks as a Trooper in the Light Horse at Inverell prior to enlisting on 25th September 1914 with the Australian Army - he was with the 6th Light Horse Regiment, A Squadron - Unit embarked from Sydney on the ship Suevic on 21st December 1914

He was Killed in Action on the Battlefield towards Bir el Abd, Sinai Peninsula and was initially buried in the battlefield - later he was moved to the Kantara War Memorial Cemetery, Egypt.
