WAS DEAD IN TRAIN
A man believed to be Charles Thomas Curnow (60), of Wellington Point, was found dead in a train at South Brisbane railway station late yesterday afternoon. Curnow, a returned soldier from World War one, lived alone in a hut on the beach at Wellington Point. At 5 o'clock he was sitting in a train due to leave at 5.15 for Cleveland, and the foreman porter, Francis Morris Meehan, noticed that Gurnow appeared ill. Entering the compartment, Meehan spoke to the man but got no reply. Although police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances, a post mortem examination will be held tomorrow to ascertain the cause of death.
