Robert Henry NEAVERSON was born in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, England on 8th March, 1880
His parents were Robert NEAVERSON & Elizabeth WEST
He previously served in the Grenadier Guards and the South African Constabulary before he came to Australia and enlisted on 24th March, 1916 as a 2nd Lieutenant with the 14th Light Horse Regiment, A Squadron which embarked from Sydney on the HMAT Beltana on 13th May, 1916
- he was promoted to Lieutenant on 1st April, 1917
Robert was Killed in Action in Belgium on 26th April, 1918 - no known grave
His last unit was the 2nd Anzac Mounted Division Regiment
His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial and the Menin Gate Memorial
