Biography

"2657 Private Daniel Patrick Stapleton, 9th Battalion, of Burringbar, NSW. A labourer prior to enlistment, Pte Stapleton embarked for overseas service aboard HMAT Kyarra (A55) on 16 August 1915. Pte Stapleton was wounded in action in France on 13 August 1916 and returned to Australia in March 1917.
