John GA Stone transferred to the 54th Bn, at Ferry Post, 1 April 1916. He was posted missing at Fromelles 19/20 July 1916. No details of his death ever emerged and he was, at a Court of Enquiry, held in the field, August 1917, pronounced fate as 'Killed in Action, 19/20 July 1916'.
