The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published in 2017, refer to pages 33-38 + 268. Prior to the war he was a miner of Gympie Qld. He enlisted 15th March 1915 aged 29 years. He served with the 9th Infantry Battalion rising to the rank of Corporal. For the services he provided he won the DCM - Distinguished Conduct Medal, and the MM - Military Medal. He survived the war, departed the UK for home 16th Jan 11919.
