Soh of Henry Hewitt Vallis and Mary Esther Vallis of Laidlaw Street, Boggabri, NSW.

Husband of Sarah Elizabeth Vallis  nee Wainwright of Elmwood Grove, Bolton, England. Henry and Sarah married on 3 April 1918 in the Parish Church, Bolton, England. Curate W.C.M. Winter officiated. Sarah later died during 1922c.

Commenced return to Australia on 11 May 1919 aboard HT Ceramic disembarking on 3 December 1919 with Sarah and his son Raymond Hewitt Bruce Vallis.

During 1924c Henry married Stella M. Corbett in Ashfield, NSW.
