"THE LATE PRIVATE C. M. KING.

Mr. and Mrs. C. King, of Nailsworth, late of Virginia, have been informed of the death of their eldest son. Private Charlie Melvin King. He was killed in action in France on November 5. He spent some time in Egypt and left for France six months ago. He was 24 years of age, and was educated at the Virginia Public school. His boyhood was spent in that district.
