Son of Thomas and A. Dickson, of 77, Dennis St., Northcote, Victoria, Australia.

A boot finisher prior to enlistment, Pte Dickson embarked from Melbourne with the 23rd Reinforcements on HMAT Hororata on 23 November 1916.

He was promoted to Lance Corporal (L Cpl) and was later killed in action in Belgium on 25th October 1917
