Son of Richard Major Quick and Bertha Mary Quick nee Heath of Sturt Street, Ballarat, Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia for orthopaedic staff on 6 November 1918 aboard HT Marathon disembarking on 1 January 1919

During 1928c William married Minnie Irene Wasley in Victoria
