Son of Ernest George Watts and Margaret Olived Watts nee Dryden. Brother of Frederick Watts MM who died of wounds, gunshot wounds to the back, on 18 September 1918 while serving with the 15th Battalion and was buried in the Hancourt British Cemetery Row C, Grave 9. Headstone inscription reads: In memory of the dearly loved son of Mr. E.G. Watts of Brisbane
