Charles Douglas Mountjoy HALLETT was born in Balaclava in Victoria on 15th November, 1886

His parents were Charles HALLETT & Annie BURDEN

He enlisted on 1st October, 1915 with the 4th Field Artillery Brigade and embarked from Melbourne on the HMAT Wiltshire on 18th November, 1915 - he was transferred to the 22nd Field Artillery Brigade on 13th May, 1916

He returned to Australia on 24th June, 1916 and was discharged on 13th September, 1916

He married Amy Florence Myrtle ROSS in Melbourne in 1919 - divorced in 1923

His 2nd marriage was to Mary Doris JORDAN in Sydney in 1924 - two known children, Dawn & Robert

Charles died at home in Darling Point in Sydney on 1st November, 1950 and was cremated in the Eastern Suburbs Crematorium
