Leslie Wolff ABEL was born in 1884 in Sydney
His parents were Elias Joseph ABEL and Mary Jane HEUSTON (his Mother had previously been married to a George MOSS
He enlisted on 7th January, 1916 with the 45th Battalion which embarked from Sydney on 25th November 1916 on HMAT Beltana
He returned to Australia on 3rd September 1919
Medals received: British War Medal, Victory Medal
In 1909 Leslie had married Ruby Berenice RODDA in Sydney (divorced in 1916 - he was listed as a sergeant in the Army Medical Corp. at the time
after returning from the war he married Nora HITCHCOCK in 1921 in Mosman
He died in 1968 in Queensland (cemetery not found)
