Biography

"...2402 Private Henry Alexander Spalholtz, of Yunndaga, WA... Pte Spalhotz enlisted on 6 May 1916 and embarked from Fremantle on 30 October 1916 with the 4th Reinforcements, 43rd Battalion. On his arrival in England he entered the NCOs School of Instruction at Jellalabad Barracks and then went on to Infantry Officers College at Kandahar, both at Tidworth, reaching the rank of sergeant.
