Anthony was born as Antonio Simpson DELMENICO in Coolgardie, Western Australia in 1899

His parents were Antonio DELMENICO & Ann SIMPSON

He enlisted in Kalgoorlie, WA on 14th August, 1916 and embarked from Fremantle on the HMAT Argyllshire on 9th November, 1916 with the 43rd Infantry Battalion, 5th reinforcements

Anthony was Killed in Action during the Battle of Messines in Belgium on 11th June, 1917 - no known grave

His name is memorialised on the Australian War Memorial & the Menin Gate Memorial
