Correct name was Edward Joseph O'Connor but served as Edmund Joseph O'Connor. Address at the time of enlistment was given as 'Bal Boorie', Collie, NSW
At the time of enlistment Edmund gave his aged as 19 when in fact he was only 17.
Son of William O'Connor and Caroline Mary O'Connor nee Royal of Collie, NSW formerly of Echuca, Victoria.
Brother of Patrick O'Connor who returned to Australia on 13 October 1919 having served with the 45th Battalion; Michael O'Connor who returned to Australia on 9 June 1917 having served with the 1st Pioneer Battalion and George William O'Connor who was killed in action on 7 June 1917 while serving with the 45th Battalion and has no known grave. His name appears on Menin Gate, Ypres, Panel 27.
