He was 30 and the son of William Parker Thompson and Fanny Thompson, of Highfield, Rippingale, Bourne, Lincolnshire, England.

He is honoured on the Rippingale War Memorial at

St Andrew Church in the village of Rippingale, South Kesteven, Lincolnshire, PE10 0SU
