Son of John Orr and Isabella Matilda Orr nee Whalley of Prahran, Victoria.
On the way to England failed to re-embark at Capetown on 27 December 1916 due to medical treatment, he later re-embarked at Capetown for England on 29 January 1917
Husband of Edith Agnes Orr nee Hensey of Avenue Road, Hammersmith, England. Archibald and Edith were married on 24 February 1918 in St. Thomas's Church, Shepherds Bush, Hammersmith, England. Vicar Henry Small officiated
Commenced return to Australia on 24 August 1918 aboard HT Medic disembarking on 9 Ocotber 1918.
