Place of Association - Minmi, New South Wales, Australia.
Mr. Black's name has been inscribed on the Minmi Roll of Honour, Minmi St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church Roll of Honour (a prominent member of the choir), and the Star of Minmi Lodge, No. 1606, G.U.O.O.F. A member of the Pride of Minmi Lodge No.71 M.U.I.O.O.F., unsure if a Roll of Honour was ever produced. The Pride of Minmi Lodge No.72 M.U.I.O.O.F. Roll of Honour was unveiled on the 26th July 1916, 19 names inscribed, no names mentioned, whereabouts unknown. Maybe should have been No.71?
Unfortunately, there is no memorial inscription to tell us of the loss their son during The Great War as both parent’s ashes have been scattered at Newcastle Memorial Park, N.S.W.
Contact with descendants would be greatly appreciated.
