Died on this date - 19th March........Private Harold Hainsworth was born at Farsley, West Leeds, Yorkshire, England in 1891. He came to Australia when he was 18 years old (around 1909) & enlisted in the Australian Imperial Force (A.I.F.) on 24th October, 1916 as a 25 year old Labourer from East Narrogin, Western Australia.

Private Hainsworth arrived in England for further training on 16th February, 1917 & was posted to Pioneer Training Battalion at Larkhill, Wiltshire on 18th February, 1917. He was admitted sick to Fargo Military Hospital, Wiltshire on 23rd February, 1917 & reported as seriously ill on 26th February, 1917.

Private Harold Hainsworth died at 10.35 p.m. on 17th March, 1917 at Fargo Military Hospital of Broncho pneumonia.

He was BURIED IN DURRINGTON CEMETERY, WILTSHIRE where 139 other WW1 Australian Soldiers are buried.
