Son of George Thomas Hogg and Maud F. Hogg of Tamworth, NSW

On 17 December 1918 he married Yvonne Maxine Chevillard in Rouen, France. Mayor of rouen and Rev. A. Mutaf officiated

Commenced return to Australia on 6 October 1919 aboard Pakeha disembarking on 24 Novenber 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
