| 1 May 1917: | Honoured Military Medal, Citations reads: On the morning of the 15th April in the vicinity of Longttea, the 43rd Battery was heavily shelled. Sergeant Quick was in charge of his gun, when it was struck by a shell, killing eight of his men and wounding several others in the vicinity.
