Herbert was born as Herbert Bromley Breeslock CHALLINOR on 15th August, 1886 in Manchester, England
His parents were Joseph CHALLINOR & Eliza DALWOOD
He enlisted in Broadmeadows, Victoria on 17th October, 1916 & embarked from Melbourne on the HMAT Medic on 16th December, 1916 with the 14th Infantry Battalion, 23rd reinforcements
Herbert died in the Casualty Clearing Station of Pneumonia & Gas poisoning and is buried in the Trois Arbres Cemetery
