Pasmore was with a party of about a dozen men of the 14th Battalion, led by Lieutenant Luscombe, who were captured by the Turks while trying to attack Hill 971 on the 8 August 1915. Pasmore was badly wounded in the right side when captured. He was repatriated to England in November 1918.
