Military Medal Bar
'For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. On the morning of 8th August, 1918 at FRAMERVILLE near AMIENS, he advanced in charge of a Vickers Gun together with the infantry. In the thick mist, he and his team found themselves alone without the infantry. he, however, kept moving forward and at one place bombed a trench and forced 14 huns to surrender. On reaching the first objective, he assisted in consolidation and then tended wounded. In the attack on the 11th August, 1918, Corporal NOONAN brought his guns into action several times and inflicted many casualties. His courage and energy were a splendid example to his men.'
