MAN FATALLY SHOT
Wife and Three Children Ill.
YARRAWONGA. Sunday- James Purdue, a returned soldier, employed by Mr. R.J.Bruce, at Savernake, was found shot at Savernake yesterday afternoon. He was taken to the Corowa public hospital, where he died at half-past 6 o'clock this morning. Purdue was a married man, and sickness in his family had worried him. His wife, who has been ill for a long time, is at present in Melbourne undergoing treatmentand their three children are at present inmates of the Coowa public hospital having become ill several weeks ago. An inquest will be held.
