Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Mrs Margaret Ellin Balsdon, Seventh Street, Weston, New South Wales

Mrs. Balsdon, the widowed mother of four sons who enlisted, has just died. Of these sons, one died of wounds, a second died of wounds whilst prisoner of war in Germany, and a third is permanently invalided, and will soon return to Australia. A fourth enlisted  in England at the inception of hostilities, and has come through up to the present without mishap.
