Full name is Ernest Alexander Oxley but served as Ernest Oxley

Son of Robert Oxley and Isabel Oxley nee Arbuckle of Cobden Street, South Melbourne, Victoria.

Brother of Charles Oxley who returned to Australia on 7 May 1919 having served with the 7th Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 19 June 1919 aboard HT Miltiades disembarking on 5 August 1919

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal

During 1927c Ernest married Susan Gladys Gretgrix in Victoria. Susan later died in 1933c
