Son of George Edward Rogers of Tivoli Theatre, Adelaide SA. Later of 16 Beaufort Street, Surry HIlls, Sydney, NSW. William was the father of ex-nuptial son Stanford Douglas Andrews

Medals: British War Medal, Victory Medal. Held by Mrs Rosina May Herbert of Vivian Street, Burswoods, WA in trust for their son

William Jules Rogers was the son of George Edward and Mary Rogers and had been born in New South Wales. His mother had passed away when he was only seven years of age. He enlisted at Wagin, Western Australia. His brother, who had enlisted in Queensland, 123 Private Percival John Rogers 49th Battalion AIF, was killed in action at Mouquet Farm on 3 September 1916.

His father, George, seemed to be involved in show business or the theatre as he moved around considerably. The father also wrote to Base Records on several occasions seeking more information as to their fate and burial but sadly not much was known and neither son has a known grave.
