Private Archibald J. Walker, who is amongst the list of wounded, is a son of Mr. Alexander D. Walker, an old and respected resident of Bakers Gully, Bright. Private Walker was amongst the first of a number of dredge hands to give up his position when recruits were re quired for active service. Prior to leaving for Broadmeadows he belonged to the 38th battalion of the Citizen forces.
