GEORGE WATERSTON WALKER, son of Hon. James Thomas Walker and Mrs. Janette Isabella Walker, was born on 2nd June, 1881, at Brisbane, and was educated at the Cooerwull Academy, Bowenfels, New South Wales.
He entered the service of the Bank at London on 7th November, 1900. He was transferred to Head Office on 25 th August, 1902, and to Bathurst Street, Sydney, in August 1910.
George Waterston Walker returned to England, where he enlisted as a private in the Army Service Corps 3rd Divisional Train, on 25th August, 1916. Afterwards he was appointed lieutenant in the 7th Squadron of the Australian Flying Corps.
