"...2nd Lieutenant Samuel Aubrey McKenzie, 9th Battalion. Lt McKenzie served with The King's (Liverpool Regiment), the Candadian Militia and the US Army prior to the First World War before enlisting in the 9th Battalion on 18 August 1914. Lieutenant McKenzie was killed in action at Pozieres on 21 August 1916, aged 29. His younger brother, Lieutenant Robert McNeil Crawford McKenzie, also of the 9th Battalion, died at the Battle of Menin Road on 21 September 1917, aged 29..." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
