His parents were James Robert PEEBLES & Margaret MASON who married in Barrington, Tasmania on 18th July, 1888

1. George PEEBLES (SN 684) - died of wounds on 1st February, 1917
2. Alexander James PEEBLES (SN 2277) - returned to Australia in 1919 - awarded a Military Medal
