Albert Edward Ringrose

He was born in Oakleigh, Victoria in 1899.

Albert had 3 known relatives his mother Martha Ringrose, his father Christopher John Ringrose and his brother William Harold Ringrose.

Albert Edward Ringrose's job was a Cattle Drover (a cattle drover is a person who moves livestock usually sheep, cattle and horses over long distances.)

He enlisted in Liverpool on the 10th of March, 1915 and he embarked from Sydney on the A40 Ceramic on June 25th, 1915

He served in the 18th Battalion in Egypt, at Gallipoli and on the Western Front with his brother William Harold Ringrose.

On October 7th 1917, Albert got shot on the arm, leg and hand. Just after 2 days, Albert Edward Ringrose sadly died of wounds in the 3rd Canadian Casualty Clearing Station. Albert was buried in the Lijssenthoek military, Cemetry, Flander, Belgium.

Before he enlisted, Private Ringrose was a member of the Lodge Kildare, Blacktown.

He is remembered on the Blacktown Roll of Honour.
