Son of Thomas Orgill and Emily Orgill nee Alder of Langhorne Street, Dandenong, Victoria.
Prior to enlisting George has served with the Militia for five years and was a member of the Victoria Police for three years.
Commenced return to Australia on 24 September 1918 from Taranto then boarded HT Devon at Suez on 13 October 1918 disembarking on 23 November 1918 at Melbourne for onward travel overland to Brisbane.
