The details provided are taken from the book "Stealth Raiders - a few daring men in 1918" written by Lucas Jordan, published 2017, refer to pages 136, 204 & 277. Prior to the war he was a clerk of Gordon, FCT. He enlisted 17th Feb 1915 aged 18 years. He served with the 17th Infantry Battalion, rising to the rank of Lieutenant. During his service he was awarded a Military Cross for his activities. He survived the war, departing the UK for home 5th April 1919.
