Add my storyBiography contributed by Faithe Jones
Pte. William G. Ferrie was wounded in the battle at the Somme and was invalided home. While returning he contracted pneumonia and died at Fremantle. He was the husband of C. A. Ferrie, 100 Paisley street, Footscray. He joined the 7th Battalion in 1915. Prior to enlistment he worked at Andrew Jack, Dyson and Co.'s, printers. He was 31 years old at the time ot his death. This, taking place so near home, makes the circumstances particularly sad.
