Harry Stirk was born in Yorkshire England and came out to Australia during 1909. He was living in Perth, Western Australia when he enlisted. His younger brother 16182 Private Charles Stirk 18th Bn, Lancashire Fusiliers, was killed in action in France 10 April 1916, age 23.
