Late Mr Edgar W. G.Lowe
The death occurred in the Winton Hospital, after a short illness, of Mr Edgar Wallace Gaden Lowe, of Weston (Winton) at the age of 52 years.
Mr Lowe was born at Wellington, NSW, where his father was a grazier. He came to Queensland 33 years ago and prior to World War I., with his brothers, owned Pialaway Downs, between Longreach and Winton, then known as Sunny Plains. Mr Lowe served in the 1914-18 war as a member of the 6th Light Horse in Egypt and Palestine and after the termination of hostilities he disposed of Sunny Plains and managed Hereward, in the Longreach district until 1927 when he purchased Weston, where he has since resided.
He married in Sydney 15 years ago Miss Winifred Dight and is survived by his widow and three children.
