Biography contributed by Heather Jenkins

After his discharge, Bob was employed as a packer, then worked in sales and at the time of his death was a caretaker.

In 1920 he was elected vice-president of the Fitzroy branch of the Returned Sailors and Soldiers' Imperial League, and it appears that he was later elected President.

He was also one of the founding members of the Victorian Gallipoli Legion of Anzacs, being President of this organisation at the time of his death.
