Son of Thomas John and Eliza Ann Wyman of Beach Road, Mentore, Victoria formerly of 47 Goulay Street, St Kilda, Victoria. Brother of Wilmore Wyman who died of wounds at sea  on 23 July 1915 having served with the 12th Battalion
