Lance-corporal W. A. Tebbutt, 4th Battalion, of Roseville, who has been invalided from Gallipoli to England, spent nearly five months in the trenches. He enlisted at 164 years of age. being then 6ft. in height. He was a Fort Street boy, dux of his clas.s, and winner of swimming and of miniature rifle competitions. He was studying law before enlisting with the first contingent to land on the peninsula.
