Biography contributed by Faithe Jones

Son of Thomas and Alma LAW. Native of Balmain, New South Wales

MENTIONED IN ORDERS.
Corporal (then Private) Harold J. Law, of Balmain. has been mentioned in orders for gallantry. He, with three companions, spent a night in a crater formed by the bursting of a "Jack Johnson" shell at Anzac, and from this position secured valuable information for his superior officers. Next night they crept back to the crater, and succeeded in destroying Turkish trenches. For this heroic action all of them
(Privates) were promoted to the rank of corporal.
